They will discuss whether they believe that you are likely to be diagnosed with ADHD and if that's the case, they will explain how they reached their conclusion. This will include a detailed description of all psychometrics and questionnaires used, scoring, a description of your historical and current symptoms and impairment, information on self and observer reports and the reasons for their conclusion (i.e., meeting/ not meeting the criteria to make the diagnosis of ADHD). Your psychiatrist will recommend a holistic plan of treatment if you have been diagnosed with ADHD. They'll suggest medication if necessary and will also draft a shared care agreement with your GP when your doctor agrees to prescribe it. The cost of medicine could be high, but it is worth it. It will improve your relationship with your family, friends, colleagues and friends, as well as your quality of living. It will also help you achieve your goals. Ask your GP to refer you to an ADHD diagnosis.
